And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:4 ESV)

This verse calls for us to stay the course when we come into trials in our lives. It’s so important for us to be exhorted in this way because our most common tendency is not to “let steadfastness have its full effect”, but rather to run at the first sign of trouble. Are you bearing a trial? Are you bearing with any one of a various array of difficulties today? Be encouraged to allow God to use these trials to have their work in your life. The end that our loving Father has in sight is glorious! He is bringing us toward the place of perfection and completion so that we’ll truly lack nothing. If we run we won’t get the growth God has stored up in the trial. If we stay the course we’ll get more of Him. Brothers and Sisters let steadfastness have it’s full effect!
